Studying in Trier

Trier, Germany's oldest city, is a vibrant and modern city. More than one fifth of its citizens are students (at Trier University and Trier University of Applied Sciences).

Currently approximately 8,000 students from over 70 nations study at one of the three campuses of Trier University of Applied Sciences. These are located in Birkenfeld, Idar-Oberstein and Trier. Our main subject areas include Business Studies, Computer Science, Design, Law and Technology.

We offer Bachelors, Dual Bachelors and Masters degrees as well as courses in continuing education such as distant learning courses and certificates.

Our offices and departments assist prospective students, students and alumni. Advisory services and information events are offered on all matters related to degree courses, career options, equality of opportunity, gender equality and reconciliation of family and working/student life, scholarships, foreign exchanges and entrepreneurship.

The "Studierendenwerk Trier" supports students in finding suitable accommodation, runs the cafeterias, organises cultural and social events and offers tickets for public transport, free museum entries and theatre.
